“And it was time for the moon to rise in me.” – Ajeet
New moon is the time of new beginnings. It is a crossroads time when the darkest lunar phase shows what isn’t working so we can plan a new way forward.
Since Aquarius is the sign of the future…So if sudden change happens unexpectedly, bless it and embrace it. Aquarius offers us creative solutions that come through intuitive transmissions which if implemented can help us see our highest visions for our future. So stay tuned for ‘Aha!’ moments and inspired ideas in the shower!
It’s also the sign of awakening…to our highest potential. This is why it’s considered the sign of the dreamer. It is important that we allow ourselves to ‘day’ dream. The more we focus on the inner vision, the more we receive guidance to pursue it and make it an external reality. In turn, if we realize and fulfil the big vision of our life, then it also helps the collective.
If we deny the dream by not taking practical steps to make it a reality, only fantasising about it then we become prone to escaping reality to live in our fantasy world. The more we live the dream, the more we attract those who align with our vision for the future and help us make it a reality.
How to navigate the new moon in Aquarius? Consider making some time to daydream this week. Laying on your back looking at the vastness of the sky helps since Aquarius is an air sign that encourages visioning. Pay attention to the ideas you have this week and note them in a journal or voice on your phone. Notice if anyone intuitively comes to mind to discuss your ideas with. Consider putting your ideas ‘out there’ by sharing them online in groups as Aquarius reminds us that with people power anything is possible. The more altruistic our motive to benefit the collective, the more people you will inspire to help you reach your vision.
Since Aquarius is also the sign of reform and innovation you may receive inspirational solutions to address existing problems in your community. Fun exercise: write your concern as a question at the top of a clean page then write the thoughts that follow as stream of consciousness.
Aquarius inspires us to create the world of our dreams. A place where everyone is appreciated, valued and celebrated for their unique contribution to the whole. A place where diversity makes life interesting. Aquarius reminds us that regardless of our separate identities, we are all part of something greater, which depends on us all getting along and working together to fulfil our highest potential.
There is electricity in the air, but we must become the grounding rods, like Feminine energy of the Earth that embraces us with her love.

Leah Whitehorse from LUA Astrology.com shares:
“Life can be unpredictable and in those times it’s our core values that can ground us and bring us back to centre. Focus on what really matters.
“We may be experiencing background anxiety, a desire to be free, a gnawing sense that a shift of perspective is necessary.
“Maybe we’re making new allegiances in our social groups, becoming more political, joining humanitarian programs or simply getting with the program!
“Aquarius is also a sign that prizes uniqueness and individuality. This is the time to own our weird and stop worrying about what everyone else will think. Let your inner genius out.
“change is coming – whether we like it or not and it’s better that we are prepared.
“Do the healing work required, whether physically, mentally or emotionally. Educate yourself so that you understand how you can better contribute to humanity. Clear some space for personal self-expression. Be a friend to yourself and others.
“It’s clear that we need to work together, the old and the young, different generations uniting for the common good.
“There is so much wisdom born from experience that our elders have to give – both those who are still here on the planet and those in spirit. Yet at the same time, we must make room for new ideas, new growth, experimentation, brainstorming, alternatives.
“Sometimes the older generation must stand back and allow the young to stand (or fall!) on their own terms.
“Whatever way we look at it, the astrology is clear that the times they are a-changing and we need to be ready to roll with them.”

Pam Younghans om northpointastrology.com says:
“OUR PERCEPTIONS of reality are shifting, as circumstances compel us to become more introspective. In this time of great transformation, the familiar forms wash away, and we enter a void. We can either try to fill that often uncomfortable space, quickly and indiscriminately, or we can allow it to exist and see what unfolds.
We are also drawn inward now for respite and renewal when the noise of the outside world is excessive, or when the waves of ongoing change overwhelm us. We are aware of the need to develop a greater inner strength and faith to help us navigate the unknowns of daily life.
As we wander through our internal landscape, we come face-to-face with ourselves – our own thoughts, emotions, and attitudes. This increased self-awareness gives us the ability to make new choices about who we are and how we want to be in the world. We begin to see life experience from the inside out instead of from the outside in.
OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS, all of these steps in the process of consciousness expansion will be greatly and perhaps dramatically accelerated. Significant developments, both internally and externally, are being activated by the Aquarius New Moon this Thursday and next week’s exact Saturn-Uranus square.
In truth, it is hard to separate out these two events, since the influence of the Saturn-Uranus square is tightly woven into the New Moon chart. We can more accurately think of it as a continuous wave of energy over this two-week period. Mercury will also be retrograde throughout this next fortnight, making it an ideal time for going within to process our experience.
THE NEW MOON occurs on Thursday, February 11… This lunation is strongly Aquarian, with six planets plus the asteroid Pallas Athene in the eleventh sign. In its most enlightened expression, Aquarius is progressive, innovative, visionary, ethical, and altruistic. It has extensive knowledge, wishes to cooperate, and connects to a higher state of consciousness when making decisions.
But each sign has a shadow side, and Aquarius can also be opinionated, impetuous, unsympathetic, rebellious, and reclusive. All of these qualities – the light and the shadow – are being strongly experienced and expressed by the collective now, and will be heightened around the time of this week’s New Moon.
THE DYNAMIC POTENTIALS of this lunation lie in the fact that it highlights the effects of the Saturn-Uranus square, and that all seven planetary objects in Aquarius are in hard square aspect to planets in Taurus. Aquarius and Taurus are both fixed signs, which means they can stubbornly resist seeing an issue from another point of view.
On the one hand, Saturn in Aquarius is pushing us to quickly establish a new social order; on the other hand, Uranus in Taurus reminds us that there are still many values and forms that must be radically altered if we are to live together in peace, and in harmony with planet Earth. The square aspects at the time of the New Moon represent the great divide between these agendas, and creates a tension that needs to be released.
We will be dealing with these issues not only on Thursday, but also throughout the new lunar cycle. As always when the planet Uranus is involved, we can “expect the unexpected” during this time – surprising, earthquake-like events that can potentially awaken social consciousness and set humanity on a new course.
ON A SPIRITUAL LEVEL, this square between the planets in Aquarius and Taurus represents the breakdown of an old consciousness that has become too limiting. The amount of stress involved in this process for each individual depends on how attached we are to our old attitudes and perspectives. Breakdowns can quickly lead to breakthroughs if we are willing to leave the past behind.
What is difficult becomes easy with help…Here is a refreshingly direct gratification of self, which is both innocent and healthy. It may, however, be unacceptable to those who want a more formal, civilized approach to life, and who expect this large brown bear to justify its actions. This degree teaches us that everything can be made much easier and simpler than we’ve thought, although there may be a price to pay in terms of intimidating others or going against what they think proper.”
